How are we feeling right now, Padres fans? If it is not the best, we understand why... those were some pretty tough series to watch from our guys in the past couple of weeks and it feels like our momentum is dropping much farther down than what it was at the beginning of the month.

Many fans are already looking back at the 2022 season and reminiscing on the energy and fearless spirit that roster played with. The Friars won 89 games and just barely snuck into the playoffs but they did not have the same star power and expectations that they currently do.

Before the blockbuster trade for Juan Soto went down midway through the year, Manny Machado was in the midst of a one-man show in Gaslamp as he carried the team on offense and fought through injuries to help keep their postseason hopes alive.

However, even though the team doubled down on spending heading into this year, everybody wanted even more and have yet to receive much.

The Padres currently sit at a 19-22 record and would need to improve a ton just to win more games than previously.

won 89 games last year."

51 losses still does sound a lot to endure for the fanbase but the Padres need to take things one game at a time moving forward.
