It's starting to look like the San Diego Padres love to keep the fans on their toes. In their Thursday night matchup against the Atlanta Braves, the score was never more than a two-run difference.

Blake Snell continued to rack up a ton of pitches and gave up far too many walks. Even though he reached an incredible milestone of 1,000 strikeouts for his career, he recorded more balls than strikes in his four innings. The Friars went on to lose 7-6.

Ronald Acuna Jr. got things started for the Braves as he scored their first run off of a sacrifice hit from Austin Riley.

Orlando Arcia went deep in the third inning to extend that lead to 2-0.

Matt Carpenter was able to then wake the Friars up with a three-run home run that also saw Xander Bogaerts and Jake Cronenworth round the bases.

It was his first bomb of the year.

However, some questionable rulings of walks and balls would lead to two more runs for the Braves thanks to Sean Murphy and Kevin Pilar.

This is when the game really started to get interesting. Jake Cronenworth continued to prove his reliability at the plate with a 412 ft home run in the sixth inning.

Fast forward to the eighth, Bogaerts was brought home thanks to a wild pitch.

Every baseball fan loves a good bunt every now and then and Jose Azocar made sure to give them one in a crucial moment. Cronenworth was able to score once again thanks to him.

Matt Olson saw a pitch he liked and his single allowed Arcia to score once again.

Olson himself then tied the game 6-6 after a hit from Travis D'Arnuad brought him in.

Brace yourselves for the unfortunate ending Friars fans.

Arcia continued success at the plate following his home run earlier and connected on a single at the bottom of the ninth inning that brought Eddie Rosario home. 7-6, that was ball-game.

For the third game in a row, San Diego's bullpen failed to maintain a lead. Even though Blake Snell didn't perform his best, he still left the mound with a 3-2 lead.

Catch the Padres again on Friday as they look to bounce back against Atlanta at 4:20 pm PT.
