Padres Show Love to San Diego State on Final Four Berth
STAND UP, SAN DIEGO!! The Aztecs of San Diego State University are heading to the Final Four.
In a thriller game in the Elite 8, the Aztecs defeated the Creighton Bluejays, 57-56, and will represent the South region in the Final Four. All of San Diego was on cloud nine and congratulated the team, including your San Diego Padres.
In the past five months, San Diego has had their Padres make an impressive run to the NLCS, and now SDSU is making it to the Final Four. According to action network, the Aztecs have the second-best odds of cutting down the nets at +360. UConn has the best odds to win it all at -140, and behind San Diego are Miami and Florida Atlantic, tied at +500.
The Friars will look for the same type of success as the university. The Padres are heading into the 2023 season with high expectations, and no one but themselves will be able to stop them. The talent, depth, coaching, and front office are all incredible, and they'll be looking to keep the party going in the 619.
San Diego is showing the world to be more than a city with nice weather and sandy beaches. They're showing people they are a sports town with great teams ready to take the sports world by storm.
