Tomorrow is the day Padre fans have been counting down; the return of Fernando Tatis Jr. Tatis couldn't be returning at a better time while the offense has struggled mightily, and the Padres have only collected two wins in their past nine games.

Tatis Jr will be vital in what the Padres want to accomplish, and everyone knows that, including his star teammate, Xander Bogaerts. Bogaerts spoke to Padres inside Kevin Acee and said he's hopeful Fernando will be impactful to the team.

“Having someone like that back definitely impacts the game in all facets and definitely a really nice addition to lineup and to the team, that’s for sure,” Xander Bogaerts said. “… Hopefully, all of us can just get kind of ignited with that and have it have a carryover on all of us.”

The Padres are in a rut and could use anything to get them going, but Tatis' return is precisely what the Friars need. His explosiveness, energy, and talent have been missing for the Padres. He's looked fantastic in his time down in Triple-A; however, it has been 18 months since he's seen big league arms.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's off to a slow start due to the long layoff. Nonetheless, he will find his groove sooner rather than later, and that will help the team get themselves out of their rough patch.

Every Padre fan is chomping at the bit for his return, and it will be one worth seeing against the division leading Arizona Diamondbacks.
