Padres Superstar has Message for Fans Amidst Batting Struggles
Manny Machado has certainly had a lot to say to fans amidst the Padres' recent stretch of games and not all of it has been in the best manner.
We certainly do get the frustrations coming from him as he typically start off his seasons slow but this is not a year like any other. The expectations were placed on them since the stars began getting assembled and the clubhouse made it clear at FanFest that they have championship aspirations on their mind.
A 9-11 record to kick off 2023 would certainly say otherwise but it's super important to note all of the factors that San Diego has had to adjust this season. The obvious ones are pitch clock and other rule changes that opposing franchises have had to adjust to as well but members of the coach staff leaving and star players missing have hurt them. The Friars' offense has taken the most heat through all of this but Machado assured that they're doing everything they can to bounce back.
"We're working out every single day," said Machado. "As much as people are out there talking that we don't do anything but we're out here working out butts off, we're trying to the best that we can and we're all professionals."

Machado has been a superstar in the league for quite some time now and we don't see that changing any time soon.
