Watch: Fernando Tatis Jr. Makes First Appearance Back at Petco Park
The wait is almost over ladies and gentlemen and the hype is getting real as Fernando Tatis Jr. finally set foot in Petco Park for the first time this season.
Unfortunately, he is still technically suspended so he has to leave before the fans arrive to watch the Padres face off against the Atlanta Braves for their second series against each other of the year.
But he is back nonetheless and there were smiles all around as he joined his Friars teammates for some stretches and conversation.
It's been a while since he was in the same vicinity as them and there's also some new faces since he was last in the lineup.
El Niño has been putting the league on notice during his stint with the El Paso Chihuahuas. He had an insane stretch to end off his stint there where he had ten hits in 12 plate appearances and bombed four home runs in three games.
He will potentially be joining the Padres again this week and he will provide a much-needed spark to their offense.
Fans shared their reactions to his return to the park.
