Manny Machado has plenty of history playing at Coors Field and he most recently remembers it as the place where his 2022 season flashed before his eyes when he went down with a sprained ankle last year. However, he bounced back and was able to return to his team with less than 10 matches missed.

He came into this current series not too long after returning from another injury, this time a hairline fracture on his hand and had put together some of his best outings of the 2023 season yet.

Machado continued this in San Diego's Saturday matchup against Colorado and made one of his best plays all year with a catch that went deep left field and that he actually bobbled a few times before securing the ball and the out at the bottom of the eighth inning.

Have a look for yourself... especially anybody that has questioned his hustle in the past!

He had to move his wheels pretty fast for this one and these are the types of plays that he was making all of last season when he put the padres on his back and finished as a runner-up for the NL MVP.

It was actually pointed out by Sammy Levitt just how quick Machado had to move to make the catch and it was his fastest sprint all year long.

"Manny Machado covered 108 feet on that catch down the left field line. His sprint speed was 25.1 MPH, which is tied for the fastest sprint speed he's had this season."
