The San Diego Padres have been labeled as a group of star with big ego's and paychecks by opposing fanbases but they are working hard everyday to prove that they have each other's backs even if nobody else does.

They haven't gotten off to the best of starts but there's also a lot of factors currently working against them. A new roster means new chemistry and a lot of key pieces were missing from Spring Training due to the WBC. The pitch clock is also affecting their offense in a magnitude of ways and Fernando Tatis Jr. and Joe Musgrove have yet to debut.

However, when it comes to offense, it's going to get a whole lot better soon with Tatis set to come back by the end of this week. He's been dominating in the minor league as he gets warmed up there before the end of his suspension and its clear he can't wait to back.

Then you at look at the defensive side of things and something to keep an eye on is that he will be in a new spot at right field. This, of course, comes after the Friars signing one of the best shortstops in baseball this past offseason in Xander Bogaerts.

But X-Man is super hyped to suit up for the first time with another young star and he detailed how he views the mental process of Tatis' resurgence and the distractions he'll have to endure.

"He looks really good, he looks in great form," said Bogaerts. "He wants to go out there and prove everyone wrong, what he did was a mistake. Luckily, we're here to support him. Sometimes it might be tough for him when we go on the road, might be some boo's. As I said, he's a kid that really wants to go out there and prove to everyone that he's the real deal still."

Tatis should definitely spend a lot of time with Bogaerts as he is running the city right now.
