Watch: Bohm Launches Massive Home Run for Philadelphia Phillies Lead Over Reds
The Philadelphia Phillies have regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on Easter Sunday thanks to a huge two-run home run by first baseman Alec Bohm.
Bohm's home run came at just the right moment as the Phillies had allowed the Cincinnati Reds to come back and tie the game 2-2 after having had an early lead. The home run also scored second baseman Bryson Stott, the hero of yesterday's victory.
Bohm's bomb travelled 398 feet, came off the bat at 103.9-mph and had a launch angle of 28 degrees.
The third baseman-turned-occasional first baseman has been the highlight of this Philadelphia squad's season.
Bohm has made significant strides both in the field and at the plate. His development has been something to watch following an up-and-down season in 2022. Since the arrival of hitting coach Kevin Long and the managerial change to Rob Thomson, Bohm's career and performance have taken off.
Sunday's two-run blast is just another example of his great start and turnaround.
