Watch: Marsh Smashes First Home Run of Season, Doubles Philadelphia Phillies Lead
When it rains it pours, and it's raining home runs for the Philadelphia Phillies right now. Following Kyle Schwarber's first home run of the season, center fielder Brandon Marsh hit his first as well on Tuesday night against the New York Yankees.
After looking anemic for the past four games, the Phillies offense has come alive.
Marsh's shot came in the top of the third inning on a full count. Marsh put his first home run of the season in the center field stands after it went an astonishing 436 feet. It left the bat at almost 110-mph with a launch angle of 28 degrees.
This is the exact type of swing Marsh is capable of and Philadelphia hitting coach Kevin Long is trying to unlock from the young outfielder.
Marsh's home run gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead over the Yankees as they search for their first win of the burgeoning season.
