WATCH: Kyle Schwarber Hits Massive Three-Run Home Run For Team USA
Kyle Schwarber launched a majestic three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning of Team USA's World Baseball Classic game against Great Britain. The Philadelphia Phillies slugger got every bit of the ball to give the USA a 5-1 lead.
It comes after two previous at-bats in which Schwarber had come up just short. The money shot came against Great Britain right-hander Ryan Long who served Schwarber a 94 mph fastball down the middle that Schwarber then deposited into the right-center field stands.
The 2022 National League home run champion showed why Team USA manager Mark DeRosa decided to bat him fifth in the lineup.
It's a good sign for Team USA that Schwarber is starting to get hot as the team will win games on the back of its offense. Schwarber is the back bone of the power for that lineup.
