Watch: Trea Turner Hits Monster Home Run Against Cuba in WBC Semi-Finals
Trea Turner can't be stopped. The Philadelphia Phillies shortstop just launched another mammoth home run. It's the second home run in his last two at-bats. The previous was the monster grand slam he launched on Saturday night against Venezuela to send his Team USA to the World Baseball Classic Quarterfinals.
His second was today in his very first at-bat.
Sunday's was in the second inning and helped extend the United States lead to 3-1. Turner's shot was of the solo variety and he sent it into the left field stands in what was an absolute no-doubter.
Turner is proving that his elite defense and speed aren't the only thing he brings to the table. The sudden power production has helped propel Team USA to new heights in this tournament.
If he brings it with him to Philadelphia during the regular season, the Phillies will have one of the most vaunted lineups in all of baseball.
