The Philadelphia Phillies announced that they have recalled INF Alec Bohm from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their crucial three-game series with the Atlanta Braves.

Along with Bohm, RHP Connor Brogdon has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list.

Ramón Rosso and Luke Williams have been optioned back to AAA in a corresponding move.

Bohm was optioned to AAA on August 22 in light of his defensive struggles with the big-league club.

In 15 games with the Iron Pigs since being sent down, he hit .271/.353/.407 with 16 hits, including five doubles, one homerun, and six RBI.

He is not in the starting lineup tonight for the Phillies, but it's possible the team decided to call him back up to have a right-handed bat off the bench if need be, as Williams has been struggling as of late.

It is currently unknown if Bohm will get starts in the final six games of the regular season, but he should bring some offensive pop that has been lacking in the Phils lineup.

And in a series as crucial as this, Philadelphia needs all of the offensive help they can get.
