Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper put on a show in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves. The local radio announcers for the Braves didn't enjoy it and threw shade at him after both home runs.

Tied at 1-1, the Philadelphia Phillies needed Bryce Harper to deliver at the plate with two men on base.

The crowd was ready to erupt and the right man was at the plate to provide what the team and fans required.

A simple base hit would have likely sufficed. Brandon Marsh would have scored from third base to give the Phillies a lead.

But that's not what Harper does.

The superstar puts on a show when the lights are bright.

Harper blasted a three-run homer to right field that traveled 408 feet as he was staring at it leave the ballpark to give Philadelphia a 4-1 lead.

He trotted around the bases, making sure to stare at Atlanta Braves' shortstop Orlando Arcia who had been caught mocking him after Game 2.

When "The Showman" crossed home plate, he gave a signal which drew criticism from the Braves' local radio announcing team.

"And then when he crossed home plate, I guess the game is over because Harper just gave a throat-slashing sign," the color commentator said in disgust.

They didn't stop there.

While the baseball world was left incredulous by Harper's second home run of the game in the fifth inning, the local broadcasters, once again, threw shade at the superstar.

"Again gave the throat-slashing sign, which given today's climate around the world, I'm not sure that's quite what anybody wants to see," they said.

Really? That's where they want to take it?

The commentating team then later tried to defend the Braves' shortstop saying there was no proof that he said what he was caught saying and it was turned into something it wasn't meant to be.

"But Harper's taken it to heart and he's been glaring at Arcia as he rounds second on both homers," they proclaimed.

Some people never learn.

Don't start something that can't be finished.

Harper let his bat do the talking in Game 3, giving the Phillies a 2-1 series lead.
