The red jerseys are out in 2024 and will be gone in the foreseeable future for the Philadelphia Phillies as they are finally getting a "City Connect" jersey from Nike.

To make room for this, they are getting rid of the reds that were primarily worn in Spring Training before being used in their regular road rotation starting in 2021.

More details about this can be found here, but the reason why the Phillies have to drop one colorway is because of Nike's "4+1" rule that has them produce four jerseys per team and one that's part of the City Connect version.

So, what might these jerseys look like?

According to a couple different parties, it seems like they will draw inspiration from the city of Philadelphia's blue and yellow flag.

Tim Kelly of Phillies Nation first reported about the changes coming to the Phillies' jerseys this upcoming season and shared that Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reported that the jerseys are "expected to incorporate some element of the City of Philadelphia flag."

Kyle Pagan of Crossing Broad first mentioned that this could be the colorway all the way back in April.

Nothing has been confirmed about what the jerseys will actually look like, as it's all speculation at this point in time, but more information continues to be discovered about how these might look.

Kelly also notes, "The Phillies have not yet announced a date for when the uniforms will be unveiled, nor is it clear what day(s) of the week the City Connects will be worn at Citizens Bank Park."

There's still plenty that needs to be discovered for those who are interested in how these uniforms will look and if they'll be worth giving up the red jerseys for moving forward.
