The latest pick-up for the Philadelphia Phillies is starting pitcher Scott Moss who was claimed off of waivers from the Cleveland Guardians after he was designated for assignment last week.

Moss spent two seasons with the Guardians organization, only playing in their AA and AAA level clubs. In the 2021 season, Moss pitched for Columbus Clippers, finishing the season with a record of 1-5 and an ERA of 7.08 across nine appearances.

It's not clear where Moss will fit in within the Phillies organization, but given his previous performances, it is all but a given that he'll see time in the minor leagues before making his major league debut.
