There’s something special about Citizens Bank Park.

Even trailing 2-0 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, the Philadelphia Phillies never flinched.

Bryson Stott smacked the seventh pitch of his at-bat into right field, propelling the Phillies to a walk-off 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.

With a packed crowd standing and cheering, the players could feel the support.

It was just like last year when the passionate fan base was treated with a run to the World Series.

"Everyone was standing and it was so loud -- it kind of felt like October again," Stott told reporters. "Just the way they showed up and got into the game -- it doesn't help the pitcher at all. You saw him step off and looked like he was going to run at Nick (Castellanos). I think he was just trying to calm things down. But here, I don't think that really works."

While the rally looked a bit different, the result was still the same. With Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins sidelined, the Phillies manufactured the come-from-behind win.

The three-run comeback featured three singles, a walk, a sacrifice fly and a stolen base.

"There's plenty of ways to win games other than just hitting the ball out of the park," Castellanos said. " ... We just had to find a way -- any way -- that we could to get it done. Sometimes, you have to play small ball, work a walk and take your hits."

Hey, whatever works.

The energy from the crowd was evident. The Phillies own arguably the best homefield advantage in Major League Baseball.

Saturday was further proof.
