The Philadelphia Phillies have set their pitching probables for their three-game series with the San Francisco Giants, which starts on Monday at Citizens Bank Field.

The Phillies will face the Nationals at 6:40 p.m. eastern on Monday and Tuesday, with the Wednesday finale set for 4:05 p.m.

Right-hander Aaron Nola (10-8, 4.58) is expected to start Monday’s game. Nola last threw on Wednesday against Toronto, a game in which he claimed the victory. He threw five innings, giving up four hits, four earned runs and four walks. He also struck out seven.

Nola is in a bit of a valley right now, having gone 2-3 with a 5.36 ERA in his last seven starts. He has also failed to get out of the sixth inning in each of his last three starts.

The Giants expect to start left-hander Scott Alexander (6-2, 4.06), who is coming off a relief appearance on Friday in which he threw just 0.1 innings. In fact, Alexander has pitched in 44 games this season, but only six starts. He is 0-1 with a 10.80 ERA in his last seven appearances, two of which were starts.

Right-hander Taijuan Walker (13-5, 4.03) will return to the rotation on Tuesday. Walker had his expected start on Sunday pushed back last week, so he’ll face the Giants after more than a week of rest. In his last start against Minnesota on Aug. 12, he took the loss. He pitched five innings, giving up three hits, three earned runs and six walks against two strikeouts.

In his last seven starts he is 4-2 with a 4.25 ERA.

The Giants have not announced their probable starter for Tuesday.

Michael Lorenzen (7-8, 3.57) is expected to start for the Phillies on Wednesday. The author of the 14th no-hitter in Phillies history is coming off his worst start so far for Philadelphia. Against Washington on Friday he went just 3.1 innings, giving up eight hits and six earned runs in taking the loss. He walked one and struck out one.

Before that he had given up two runs in 17 innings in his first two Phillies starts.

Alex Cobb (6-5, 3.75) is expected to start for the Giants. He has lost his last two starts, with the previous start coming against Atlanta on Friday. He threw 5.2 innings against the Braves, giving up eight hits and four earned runs. He walked two and struck out three. Cobb is 0-3 with a 5.73 ERA in his last seven starts.
