Bryce Harper, the face of the Philadelphia Phillies franchise, appeared at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in his hometown. Harper acted as the Grand Marshal of the Penzoil 400 on Sunday just days before he plans on reporting to MLB Spring Training.

Speaking to the media at the event, Harper expressed his interest in eventually getting involved on the ownership end of a racing team. NASCAR is growing in popularity and is particularly prevalent in Las Vegas.

In terms of baseball, Harper will be arriving at Phillies camp to continue his rehab process back from Tommy John surgery.

Harper is expected back in the lineup later this season with some estimated putting his return around the MLB All-Star break.
