Going into the 2022 MLB season, expectations for the new-look Philadelphia Phillies were high. Newly added Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber gave fans hope of making the postseason for the first time in over a decade. Despite some ups and downs throughout the regular season, the Phillies found themselves in October baseball as a Wild Card team.

Due to their position as the last seed in the National League, they weren't expected to go far in the playoffs. However, not only did they exceed expectations, but they lit up the city of Philadelphia. The support displayed by the fans was like no other. Citizens Bank Park was rocking every home, creating a nightmare environment for opposing teams.

They carried that momentum all the way to a World Series appearance against the Houston Astros.

This postseason success, along with the addition of superstar Trea Turner, has ignited new excitement for the upcoming season. The season ticket sale for the 2023 season is up 50-percent from last year

In 2022, the Phillies had the 16th highest attendance, with an average of 28,459 people at home games. This was a 9000-person increase from the previous year. The overall capacity of Citizens Bank Park is 42,901 people.

While all of the seats won't be filled in every game, we could see a very significant increase in attendance. It's more than likely the Phillies crack the top-10 in all of baseball this year as the possibilities for success are sky high.
