USA Today Gives Phillies Offseason Grade
USA Today has graded the Philadelphia Phillies on their offseason production.
In this story:
USA Today handed out offseason grades for every Major League Baseball team in a piece published by Bob Nightengale and Gabe Lacques.
The grades take into consideration all offseason trades, signings and transactions.
The Philadelphia Phillies were given an A and here’s why according to the piece:
“The NL champions jumped into the deep end of the free agent market again, this time landing All-Star shortstop Trea Turner for $300 million. They didn’t stop there, signing starter Taijuan Walker and enhanced their bullpen by acquiring Craig Kimbrel and Gregory Soto, along with Matt Strahm.”
