Despite moving around from state to state as a kid and young adult, I am a born and raised Western Pennsylvania sports fan. As high school newspaper editor and sportswriter, I debated one of my fellow sports nuts on the merits of the Tony Pena trade (I predicted the greatness of Andy Van Slyke in that one). I'm a proud father of three, and my son is following my footsteps in his love for baseball. I think he knows more about it than me anymore.
