'WTF Am I Seeing?' Disgusted Fans React To Shocking Video Of Former Texas Rangers, Yankees Reliever
Aroldis Chapman, one of the most intimidating relievers of his generation, just repulsed much of the baseball world. Again.
The former Texas Rangers reliever, who signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates in January, posted the 30-second video on his Instagram stories page.
It shows Chapman lying on a couch, snuggling up against an older, gray-haired woman. Chapman squeezes each of her breasts while she gently tries to brush his hands away. Before he stops groping with his hands, he kisses her right breast over her clothing. Her legs are under a blanket, and she appears completely clothed.
The short clip was posted on X, formerly Twitter, and quickly drew a universal "Yikes!" reaction from followers as Chapman started trending on X and elsewhere.
The video was still on Chapman's IG page early Wednesday morning.
Several online sleuths surmised with other photographic evidence that the woman is Chapman's mother, but that hasn't been confirmed.
Chapman, who is from Cuba, pitched for the Rangers during their World Series title run after being acquired in a June trade with the Kansas City Royals. He was 2-3 with four saves and a 3.72 ERA for the Rangers.
Chapman, 36, was accused of pushing and choking his girlfriend during an alleged domestic violence incident in October 2015. During the episode, Chapman is alleged to have fired eight gunshots. Although Florida police never filed charges because of inconsistencies with witness reports, MLB suspended him for 30 games in the 2016 season.
