ARLINGTON, Texas —Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and current Mavs star Luka Doncic were at Globe Life Field on Thursday to cheer on the Texas Rangers in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series.

Nowitzki and Doncic were in a suite, along with former Mavericks players and current player personnel director Michael Finley.

Early in the game, the Texas Rangers released video of Nowitzki and Doncic wishing the Rangers good luck in Game 4.

In the second inning, the in-house video feed cut to Nowitzki and Finley sitting together, which set off a round of applause from the crowd at Globe Life Field.

In the top of the third, they showed Doncic, who had the misfortune to be shown as Rangers fans were booing Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker, who was leading off the third inning.

The Rangers got in trouble in the first inning as starter Andrew Heaney gave up three runs and only faced seven hitters before he was replaced by Dane Dunning.

The Rangers cut into the lead in the second inning with a home run by Adolis García and an RBI sacrifice fly by Josh Jung. That cut the lead to 3-2 going into the third inning.

The Rangers are hoping to win Game 4 and take a 3-1 lead in the series.

The pitching matchup for Game 5 is set, as the Rangers will send Game 1 winner Jordan Montgomery to face Astros Game 1 starter Justin Verlander.
