Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Teams With Texas Rangers on Tequila Brand
SURPRISE, Ariz. — If you smell what The Rock is cooking, it just might be an alcoholic beverage.
The actor and wrestling star Dwayne Johnson has teamed up with the World Series champion Texas Rangers to serve The Rock's premium, small-batch Teremana Tequila.
Teremana Tequila has agreed to a multi-year partnership to be the Rangers' official premium tequila partner at Globe Life Field beginning this season.
The partnership is an extension of Teremana Tequila’s "significant partnership with Texas Live!," the Rangers-owned entertainment center next to Globe Life Field.
Teremana Tequila will be available throughout Globe Life Field, including at the Teremana Terrace located in center field and at the traveling Mana Mobile.
"I’ll be in Texas next month raising a @teremana toast to the @Rangers and all the fans," Johnson posted on social media Thursday night. "Great partnership, and thank you to Teremana lovers everywhere for making Teremana a historic and record-breaking brand."
A signature drink with Teremana, called the Teremana Toast is the "People’s Margarita, made with Teremana Blanco, pineapple, juice, lime juice, and agave nectar," according to a release.
“We take great pride in knowing that fans will be able to enjoy Teremana® while watching the Rangers this season and for many seasons to come," Teremana Tequila CEO Richard Black said. “The Rangers are a team that shares our values, which is why the partnership is such an important one for us. They put in the work and are all about sharing Mana with fans and their wider community by bringing good energy and bringing people together. We all look forward to raising many Teremana Toasts together."
The collaboration also includes Teremana acting as the presenting partner for the Rangers Viva Tejas event celebrating Hispanic culture in Texas and brings fans together one Saturday each month on the North Plaza and CBD Kratom Backyard, located next to Globe Life Field, throughout the season.
Johnson also serves as a part owner of the UFL, which opens training camp Saturday for its first season with eight teams in Arlington.
