Rangers Injury Report
P Jon Gray (15-day, lower forearm tightness, retroactive to Sept. 28, eligible to return Oct. 13): The Rangers put Gray on the IL on Friday after he suffered an injury last week in Los Angeles against the Angels.
P Max Scherzer (15-day, strained right teres, Sept. 13, eligible to return): Scherzer is “unlikely” to return in the postseason, per Rangers general manager Chris Young. Still, Scherzer has been rehabbing since the injury to make himself an option.
P Jacob deGrom (60-Day, right elbow inflammation): deGrom is out for the rest of the 2023 season after being diagnosed with a torn UCL ligament. He had surgery on June 12.
P Ian Kennedy (60-Day, right rotator cuff strain, Sept. 16): The Rangers moved Kennedy to the 60-day injured list, ending his 2023 season.
LHP Brett Martin (60-Day, shoulder surgery): Martin had surgery on Jan. 18 and is expected to miss most of the 2023 season.
INF Brad Miller (60-Day, hamstring tightness): Miller was moved from the 10-day injured list (Aug. 2) to the 60-day injured list to make room for Evan Carter on the 40-man roster. Miller cannot return this season.
RHP Jake Odorizzi (60-Day, right arm fatigue): Odorizzi underwent arthroscopic surgery on his shoulder and will miss the entire 2023 season.
