Rangers Injury Report

P Josh Sborz (15-Day, left hamstring strain, Sept. 5, eligible to return Sept. 20): Sborz threw batting practice on Monday.

P Max Scherzer (15-day, strained right teres, Sept. 13, eligible to return Sept. 28): Scherzer will not return in the regular season and is “unlikely” to return if the Rangers make the playoffs, per Rangers general manager Chris Young.

P Jacob deGrom (60-Day, right elbow inflammation): deGrom is out for the rest of the 2023 season after being diagnosed with a torn UCL ligament. He had surgery on June 12.

P Ian Kennedy (60-Day, right rotator cuff strain, Sept. 16): The Rangers moved Kennedy to the 60-day injured list, ending his 2023 season.

LHP Brett Martin (60-Day, shoulder surgery): Martin had surgery on Jan. 18 and is expected to miss most of the 2023 season.

INF Brad Miller (60-Day, hamstring tightness): Miller was moved from the 10-day injured list (Aug. 2) to the 60-day injured list to make room for Evan Carter on the 40-man roster. Miller cannot return this season.

RHP Jake Odorizzi (60-Day, right arm fatigue): Odorizzi underwent arthroscopic surgery on his shoulder and will miss the entire 2023 season.
