For the second time in three games, Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis García was hit by a pitch, this time on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

García had X-rays on his left hand after leaving the game, per the Rangers, and those X-rays were negative.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said after the game that he will follow up with García before Sunday's game, but isn't sure if he'll play or take a day off before the road trip to Houston.

García took an offering from Dodgers starter Bobby Miller off his left hand in the fourth inning. He was in obvious pain, but after a visit with the Rangers trainer he took his base and remained in the game.

He went back out to right field for the fifth, but after fielding a base hit, instead of throwing the ball into Rangers first baseman Nathaniel Lowe, he ran it back to the infield.

He was removed from the game after Robbie Grossman pinch-hit for him in the fifth inning.

The Rangers are hoping for good news on García after placing shortstop Corey Seager on the 10-day injured list before Saturday's game with a sprained right thumb. He suffered that injury Friday night.

On Wednesday, García was removed from a game against Tampa Bay after pitcher Kevin Kelly hit him in the left forearm. X-rays for that were negative and he returned to the starting lineup on Friday.

García entered Saturday’s game batting .261 with 24 home runs and 80 RBI, with a .334 on-base percentage and a .513 slugging percentage. He went 0-for-1 on Saturday.

The Rangers wrap up the series with the Dodgers on Sunday, with left-hander Martín Pérez (7-3, 4.84) set to start against Dodgers right-hander Emmet Sheehan (3-0, 4.91). First pitch is set for 1:35 p.m.
