Maybe this will distract the Houston Astros on their drive win to the American League West.

Or at least in the playoffs.

A new documentary titled "The Astros Edge: Triumph and Scandal in Major League Baseball" is set to premiere on PBS on Oct. 3. The doc is the latest feature film from the PBS Frontline series, a collection of award-winning documentaries.

The Astros turned a prophecy into a reality in 2017 when they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in a seven games to win their first World Series.

Three years prior, Sports Illustrated ran a cover story declaring that the American League West franchise would go from being one of the worst teams in baseball to on top of the world.

Of course, fans know the sign-stealing scandal that cost the Astros their manager and general manager, and the scorn of fans everywhere. Now, they'll uncover more information on the controversy that shook baseball to its core.

The film will detail the organization putting together one of the best teams in league history while also covering up one of the worst scandals in modern sports. The Astros' cheating efforts helped the franchise maneuver its way through the end of the regular season and eventually to a title.

The documentary will feature details from the Ben Reiter book "Astroball," an in-depth look at the club's tear down of the roster following the 2010 season, the move from the National League to the American League and eventual rise in 2017.

Several players from the 2017 are on the current Houston roster, including Jose Altuve, Justin Verlander and Alex Bregman.

The Astros won the AL West in 2017, the year after the Texas Rangers last won the division. The 2016 season was also the last playoff appearance for Texas, beginning a six-year drought.

The Rangers entered Wednesday second in the Wild Card chase and one game behind Houston in the West.
