Howdy! Texas Rangers, MLB Release All-Star Week Schedule

The Texas Rangers are preparing to host the All-Star Game for the second time in team history.

The Texas Rangers and Major League Baseball released the schedule for All-Star Week, the events that will surround the 94th All-Star Game at Globe Life Field on July 16.

The Rangers are hosting the All-Star Game for the first time at Globe Life Field, which opened in 2020, and for the first time since they hosted the game in 1995 at The Ballpark in Arlington (now Choctaw Stadium).

Events will be spread around the Metroplex, with most of the focus on GLF and the Arlington Entertainment District.

Globe Life Field will host the HBCU Swingman Classic on July 12, the All-Star Futures Game, the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game on July 13, and the All-Star Workout Day and Home Run Derby on July 15.

Across from Globe Life Field at Choctaw Stadium, MLB will set up its All-Star Village from July 13-16, which will also utilize the nearby eSports Stadium and the North Lawn. The goal is to create a baseball theme park in the Arlington Entertainment District.

The Major League Draft begins on July 14 at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth and will be open to the public. The draft will continue for the following two days, with more details to be announced.

Around All-Star Weekend will be two youth tournaments, the All-Star Commissioner’s Cup and the Jennie Finch Classic. Those will be played at the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy in Dallas.

The All-Star Red Carpet Show, where MLB All-Stars showcase their personal style and greet the worldwide media with their families, will again take place prior to the All-Star Game on July 16.
