The Texas Rangers have set their pitching probables for their weekend series with the Milwaukee Brewers, which starts on Friday.

Friday’s game is set for 7:05 p.m. CT, with Saturday’s game set for 3:05 p.m. and Sunday’s game set for 1:35 p.m. The series ends a six-game homestand for the Rangers.

Left-hander Andrew Heaney (9-6, 4.17) is expected to start Friday’s game. Heaney exited his start against San Francisco on Saturday after 1 1/3 innings due to an illness that curtailed his preparation for the game. The Rangers went on to win the game, but he gave up three hits, an earned run and two walks in his short outing. He struck out one.

However, Heaney has been one of the Rangers’ better pitchers in the past seven turns in the rotation. He is 4-1 with a 4.31 ERA, striking out 30 and walking 12 in 31 1/3 innings. Before San Francisco he won his three previous starts.

Right-hander Brandon Woodruff (2-1, 1.99) is expected to start for the Brewers. He will make his fifth start of the season and has struck out 26 and walked four in 22 2/3 innings. He spent most of this season on the injured list for right shoulder inflammation.

Right-hander Dane Dunning (9-4, 3.10) will start Saturday’s game for Texas. He’s coming off a no-decision against San Francisco on Sunday, but he struck out a career-high 12 in seven innings. He gave up seven hits and one earned run.

He’s pitched well in his last seven games, but he’s been somewhat of a hard-luck loser, with a 1-3 record and a 4.14 ERA. He’s struck out 42 and walked 12 in 41 1/3 innings.

Right-hander Freddy Peralta (9-8, 4.08) is expected to start for the Brewers. He’s in a groove, as he’s won his last three starts and struck out 13 hitters against Colorado on Aug. 7.

Right-hander Max Scherzer (12-4, 3.67) will go Sunday for Texas. He had a season-high 11 strikeouts in his victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday and is now 3-0 in three starts since joining the Rangers. In that span he has a 1.80 ERA with 26 strikeouts and five walks in 20 innings.

Right-hander Adrian Houser (4-4, 4.43) is slated to start for Milwaukee. He took the loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers in his last start on Tuesday and he is 1-2 with a 5.11 ERA in his last seven starts, with 38 strikeouts and 12 walks.
