Texas Rangers Set World Series Roster for Arizona Diamondbacks Showdown

The Texas Rangers didn't make an changes from the ALCS in setting their active roster for the World Series matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers set their roster for the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, which starts on Friday at Globe Life Field.

There were no changes from the American League Championship Series against the Houston Astros.

Before the ALCS the availability of two pitchers was in question — Max Scherzer and Jon Gray. Both were made available for the ALCS and both pitched, with Scherzer taking starts in Games 3 and 7.

Other than that, the Rangers made no alterations to their active roster.

By maintaining the roster from the ALCS, the Rangers left off regular-season contributors like infielder Ezequiel Duran, pitcher Brock Burke and pitcher Jonathan Hernandez, who is out due to injury.

The Rangers also left off reliever Matt Bush, who joined the team late in the season after Milwaukee released him.
