Celebration awaits fans back in Arlington as the Texas Rangers return home with their first World Series title after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games.

Where and when does the party begin?

The City of Arlington will honor the Texas Rangers World Series Championship with a parade and ceremony on Friday, Nov. 3. All events will take place in the Arlington Entertainment District and will be open free of charge to all fans.

The parade is expected to begin at 1 p.m., with the entire team expected to participate. It will start near home plate and loop its way west and northbound around Choctaw Stadium. Following the parade, there will be a public ceremony in the North Plaza outside Globe Life Field adjacent to Texas Live!.

The ceremony will include remarks by Rangers’ executives, manager Bruce Bochy, and Texas players. Bally Sports Southwest will provide complete broadcast coverage of the parade and ceremony.

Texas, which ended a 52-year drought since moving from Washington in 1972, secured its first Commisoner's Trophy with a 5-0 win Wednesday at Chase Field. Nathan Eovaldi worked magic once again on the mound, delivering six innings of shutout baseball.

Runs were scarce until the seventh when Mitch Garver's single up the middle scored Corey Seager to make it 1-0. The Rangers added a cushion in the ninth with an RBI single from Jonah Heim that plated two runs thanks to an error from D-backs center fielder Alek Thomas.

Marcus Semien called game with a towering two-run blast to left field before Josh Sborz secured the victory with a 12-pitch inning.

The Rangers will return to Arlington on Thursday afternoon, though no public celebration is planned for their arrival.
