Two Rangers Pitchers Represented in A.L. Cy Young Voting

Texas Rangers pitchers Lance Lynn and Mike Minor earned votes for the American League Cy Young. Lynn finished 5th in the voting, while Minor finished 8th.
Every team has two representatives (a chapter) in the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) and each writer submits the top-five players for the Cy Young. Every pitcher earns points based on where their name is on each ballot.
Here are the final results of the voting.

The 2019 Rangers season was filled with ups and downs, but a lot of reason for optimism going forward. One of the best things about this past season was the performance of these two pitchers.
Minor and Lynn were both brought in to help revitalize their careers. Both pitchers missed significant time due to major injuries. Minor was signed prior to 2018 after a successful return to baseball as a reliever for the Royals in 2017.
Lynn struggled in 2017 with the Cardinals and the first part of 2018 with the Twins, until he was shipped to the Yankees. Lynn found success in the Bronx, earning himself a three-year contract with the Rangers prior to 2019.
Both Lynn and Minor logged more than 200 innings and finished with 246 and 200 strikeouts respectively. While the rest of the Rangers' rotation was a bit of a whirlwind, Lynn and Minor provided stability in 2019 and a foundation for 2020.
The last three times the Rangers have finished with two pitchers represented in the top ten of the American League Cy Young voting were 2012 (Matt Harrison and Yu Darvish), 1999 (Aaron Sele and John Wetteland), and 1989 (Nolan Ryan and Jeff Russell).
