One former member of the Boston Red Sox could finally find his next home soon.

The 2024 season is in full swing and at this point, most Major League Baseball rosters seem to be pretty set for now. While this is the case, injuries always could change things. Also, clubs are sure to be busy around the trade deadline, but that still is a few months away.

One club that has been bitten by the injury bug already this season is the Chicago White Sox. Chicago is 1-8 so far this season and recently lost slugger Luis Robert Jr. to a flexor strain.

It's unclear how the club will respond, but the White Sox could look for an external option and one player who has been floated as an option is former Red Sox outfielder Tommy Pham, according to USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale.

"The Chicago White Sox privately believe that prized center fielder Luis Robert Jr. could be out for 3-4 months with his Grade-2 hip flexor strain, another blow to an offense already without DH Eloy Jimenez," Nightengale said. "The White Sox will explore the market for reinforcements with free-agent outfielder Tommy Pham still available and perhaps an ideal fit."

It's surprising that Pham still is available after having a solid 2023 season with the New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks The veteran outfielder clubbed 16 home runs, logged 27 doubles, and drove in 68 runs in 129 total games with New York and Arizona.

Hopefully, he will be able to find his next opportunity soon.
