One former member of the Boston Red Sox has found a new home in the American League.

This past offseason certainly was an odd one. There was plenty of talent available in free agency and some massive contracts handed out, but free agency was stretched much longer than expected.

A handful of impact free agents had to wait a while to land new deals and the final impact field player finally is off the board. Veteran outfielder Tommy Pham reportedly agreed to a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox, according to MLB.com's Juan Toribio.

"Source: Tommy Pham to the White Sox is done," Toribio said. "The deal is for $3 million and could earn another ($1.5) million in performance bonuses."

Pham has been a journeyman throughout his 10-year big league career. He was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 16th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft and began his big league career in 2014.

The veteran outfielder spent the first four-plus seasons of his career with the Cardinals and has spent time with the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, and Arizona Diamondbacks ever since.

Pham appeared in just 53 games with the Red Sox in 2022 after being acquired in a trade with the Reds. The veteran outfielder clubbed six home runs and drove in 24 runs over that stretch.

It's surprising that it took this long for Pham to find his next club because he impressed last season with the Mets and Diamondbacks and hit 16 home runs and drove in 68 runs in 129 total games played.
