The Boston Red Sox are approaching the Major League Baseball Trade Deadline without as much as a rumor.

However, some former players are being shipped around, including a pitcher that was on the roster last season.

"The Seattle Mariners are acquiring Eduard Bazardo from the Baltimore Orioles for Logan Rinehart, according to a source familiar with the deal," FanSided's Robert Murray tweeted Tuesday.

Bazardo had a 3.05 ERA with a 43-to-11 strikeout-to-walk ratio, .218 batting average against and 1.10 WHIP in 38 1/3 innings for Triple-A Norfolk. The 27-year-old was used to acquire an intriguing prospect and will have a great shot to get back into the big leagues with the Mariners, who just dealt their closer and may continue to deal arms.

Baltimore did however designate him for assignment Sunday, prior to a trade, which was the same fate he faced in Boston despite strong performances.

Bazardo posted a 2.76 ERA with an 11-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio, .203 batting average against and 0.98 WHIP in 16 1/3 innings for the Red Sox last season.

The right-hander's career has been an odd one, as he continues to get moved around without a steady opportunity despite producing consistently.

Maybe Seattle is the place where things will finally turn around. The Mariners have room for him and are just 3 1/2 games back of a Wild Card spot and five games back in the American League West.

Neville spent all four years with Merrimack's radio station WMCK, where he grew as a radio/podcast host and producer.  His propensity for being in front of a microphone eventually expanded to film, where he produced multiple short films alongside his then-roommate and current co-worker Stephen Mottram. On a journey that began as a way to receive easy credits via film classes, he received a call from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" star Charlie Day. Day advised him to make a feature-length film, which he completed his senior year. While writing the film, Neville completed an internship for United Way as part of their NFL Partnership Program. Neville ran the blog for a team of interns and hosted an internet show called "United Way's NFL Partnership Series" where he interviewed NFL alumni. After college Neville wrote for SB Nation's "Over The Monster," a Red Sox sister site of the flagship brand. His work would eventually lead him to a job as a content producer with NESN, where he would cover all sports. After developing as a writer with the top regional network in the world, he was given the opportunity to join the Sports Illustrated Media Group in his current endeavor as the publisher of "Inside The Red Sox." The successful launch and quick rise of "Inside The Red Sox" led to Neville joining the Baseball Essential ownership group, a national baseball site under SIMG.
