The Reds lost to the Mets 3-2 on Friday night. Cincinnati is 4-3 on the season following the loss.

Check out the good, bad and ugly from Friday's loss:

Good

Hunter Greene had a solid outing, giving up just one run in six innings. He finished with six strikeouts and showed flashes of being a dominant starter.

Spencer Steer went yard when he opened up the scoring with a home run for the Reds in the first inning. Steer had 23 homers last season. He could exceed that number this year.

Jonathan India was 3-for-5 on the day. He continues to be a big part of the lineup. India scored the Reds second run in the ninth inning when they were trying to rally.

Bad

Losing close games like this in the month of April is rough! You can’t afford to lose these close ones, especially with how well the National League Central has been performing. The Mets pieced together a win in game one. The Reds have to rebound and return the favor on Saturday.

Fernando Cruz walked three batters and gave up a run in one inning. The walks out of the bullpen are becoming an issue.

Ugly

Leaving 12 runners on base will never be good for the outcome of a ball game. Not only did they leave 12 on base, but they went 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position. That has to change if they're going to rebound to win this series.
