Elly De La Cruz Leads Cincinnati Reds Past Los Angeles Angels 7-1
The Reds beat the Angels 7-1 on Friday night. They scored five runs in the eighth inning to clinch the vicory.
Elly De La Cruz hit a three-run homer that helped snap a three-game losing streak. De La Cruz finished 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs and three stolen bases.
Tyler Stephenson hit a solo home run that gave the Reds a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning. Nick Lodolo got the start for Cincinnati, giving up just one run in 6 1/3 innings. He had six strikeouts and gave up seven hits.
