Game Two Preview: Cincinnati Reds Look to Bounce Back Against Washington Nationals

The Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals will face off in game two of the series on Saturday night.

Nick Lodolo will take the ball for the Reds. Lodolo has been the Reds' best pitcher this season when healthy. He is 8-3 with a 3.33 ERA in 78 1/3 innings pitched this season.

In his last start, he took a no-hitter into the fourth inning before getting knocked around in the fifth. He gave up two runs over 4 2/3 innings in a 3-2 loss to the Miami Marlins.

The Nationals will give the ball to left-hander MacKenzie Gore. Gore was part of the Juan Soto trade in 2022. He is 6-8 with a 4.01 ERA in 98 2/3 innings this season.

In his last start, he gave up four runs over 4 2/3 innings in a 7-0 loss against the New York Mets.

The Reds and Nationals will face off on Saturday at 6:45 ET.
