Reds Left-Hander Brandon Williamson Has Successful Rehab Start For Dayton Dragons
Brandon Williamson made his first appearance since being placed on the injured list after suffering a shoulder injury in spring training. The left-hander was in High-A Dayton and played well for the Dragons.
Williamson tossed three innings, allowing one hit, no runs, while striking out four. He didn't walk a batter.
He pitched in 23 games for the Reds as a rookie in 2023, posting a 4.46 ERA with 98 strikeouts in 117 innings pitched.
Williamson has up to 30 days on his rehab assignment and then the Reds will need to make a decision whether to add him to the big league club or send him to Triple-A.
