Reds Prospect Chase Burns Picked to Win Pipeline Pitcher of the Year in 2025
MLB.com shared eight prospect-related predictions ahead of the 2025 season.
Jonathan Mayo from MLB.com predicted Reds' top prospect Chase Burns to be Pipeline's Pitcher of the Year.
"I think he’s going to spend almost the entire season in the Minor Leagues," Mayo wrote. "And I think he’s going to put up some pretty impressive numbers just because of the premium stuff and the swing and miss he gets."
The Reds selected Burns with the second overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. The right-hander was 10-1 with a 2.70 ERA and 191 strikeouts in 100 innings at Wake Forest last season.
