The Reds lost to the Nationals 7-6 on Saturday afternoon. They're 1-1 on the season. Here's the good, bad and ugly from the loss:

The Good

Hunter Greene had a solid start, finishing with seven strikeouts and only giving up two runs. Unfortunately, he only lasted 4 2/3 innings. It's an outing he can build on, despite not making it through the fifth.

Jeimer Candelario and Luke Maile both hit home runs that helped give the Reds a 3-2 advantage midway through the game.

Jonathan India flashed tons of confidence in this one, finishing with two hits, one double and a RBI.

Nick Martini had a two-RBI triple in the eighth. Martini hit two home runs in the opener and is off to a hot start.

Stuart Fairchild had a multi-hit game in his season debut.

The Bad

The Reds' fielding left a lot to be desired. They had communication issues, unforced errors (even though they weren't officially charged) and it made a difference in the game. They were still in position to win, but they need to clean it up quickly.

The Ugly

Alexis Diaz gave up the lead in the ninth inning. He admitted to losing the zone in his postgame press conference. Diaz game up three runs and the Nationals rallied from a 6-4 deficit to win 7-6.
