The Reds lost to the Mariners 9-3 on Monday night in Seattle. Here's the good, bad and ugly from the loss:

The Good

The home runs from both Jake Fraley and Jeimer Candelario were the positives from the game. Candelario hit his second home run as a Red and Fraley hit his first home run against a left-handed pitcher since Sept. 9, 2022.

Nick Martinez also pitched well out of the bullpen. He pitched four innings, giving up three hits and only one run.

The Bad

Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with one strikeout. His recent hot streak was exciting, but there will be plenty of ebbs and flows for the 22-year-old this season.

The Ugly

Frankie Montas struggled, giving up five runs and issuing five walks in just two innings. He also allowed three hits, but the walks are concerning. Hopefully he can get it fixed before his next outing.
