Cincinnati Reds Struggle in 9-3 Loss to Seattle Mariners
The Cincinnati Reds lost to the Mariners 9-3 on Monday night in Seattle.
Frankie Montas had his worst start of the season, giving up five runs, three hits and issuing five walks in just two innings.
On the opposing side, the Mariners started George Kirby who gave the Reds issues all night long, allowing just two runs in six innings.
Jorge Polanco and Mitch Haniger both hit home runs, helping the Mariners get out to an early lead.
Jeimer Candelario had a home run and so did Jake Fraley, but it wasn't enough to keep the Reds in the game.
The Reds fall to 9-7 on the season. They play the Mariners again on Tuesday night at 9:40 p.m. ET.
