National League Central Gets Tougher: Brewers Adding Reliever Nick Mears in Trade With Rockies
CINCINNATI — The Reds face an uphill climb in the National League Central Division. That road might've gotten a bit tougher on Saturday when the first place Brewers added right-handed reliever Nick mears in a deal with the Rockies.
The Reds are currently nine games behind the Brewers in the division. Milwaukee is clearly hoping to add pieces ahead of the July 30 deadline. Will Cincinnati add a piece or two? Will they trade off a veteran?
It's a sellers market with plenty of buyers, which should make for an interesting few days for the Reds front office.
