Cincinnati Reds Bringing Back Familiar Face, Signing Tucker Barnhart to Minor League Deal
CINCINNATI — The Reds are signing veteran catcher Tucker Barnhart to a minor league contract according to Jon Heyman.
Barnhart, 33, spent the first eight years of his career in Cincinnati (2014-21), winning two Gold Glove Awards.
He played for the Diamondbacks this season, posting a .173/.287/.210 slash line in 31 games.
This is a chance for Barnhart to show he can still contribute in the big leagues.
