Cincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson shared his thoughts on the decision to fire manager David Bell.

He thanked Bell for helping him grow as a player, but acknowledged that a new manager could bring a fresh vibe.

"We’ve got the pieces," he said via Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Enquirer. "We’ve got talent.”

Stephenson's comments are similar to Nick Krall's when talking about the talent in the organization.

What is he looking for in a new manager?

"Somebody that can come in and make an impact. We all want to win," Stephenson said. "That’s the biggest thing. The ability to win, be a part of the playoffs and bring something special to Cincinnati. Whoever that is, we’ll find out when that person is hired. Someone that can steer the ship.”
