CINCINNATI — The Reds acquired infielder Ty France and considerations from the Mariners in exchange for catcher Andruw Salcedo.

France, 30, was an All-Star in 2022. He has experience at first, second and third base. He has a .223/.312/.350 slash line this season with eight home runs and 31 RBI.

France was DFA'd by the Mariners. He lands in Cincinnati, where he'll look to rebound after a rocky season to this point.
