CINCINNATI — The Reds made a flurry of deals ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. They acquired infielder Davis Wendzel from the Rangers in exchange for cash considerations. a trade with the Rangers.

The 27-year-old was designated for assignment on Monday. He's appeared in 27 games for the Rangers this season, posting a .128/.163/.234 slash line with one home run and two RBI.
